Re: Ideamaker Print time changes

I have been using the software for nearly two years and not noticed this effect until now although if the printer runs out of filament and stops, when you restart the print time is extended massively as if the software did not account for the time taken to replace the filament. Oh well looks like I ...

PTFE bushes wanted

One of the PTFE bushes on my Raise3D Pro2 has got damaged and I can't find a replacement on the web for it, only the long tubes located above. The bushes that I need are in the head lifting unit and I don't really want to pay £300 + for a new unit. I have asked 3DGBIRE and whilst they were very help...

Define extruder for dense supports in ideaMaker

With the cost of POV it would be great to just print the dense supports in POV and the rest of the support in the main material to save costs. I believe that some other slicers do offer this. Can we have this in the next version of IdeaMaker pretty please ?

Re: Supports

I thought I would invert the job to see how the suported layer would print if not supports as it was facing up (pic2) and looks simular to the non inverted print (pic1). It looks as though the addition of supports is making the surface print with these crazy patterns (pic3). Any ideas why? I now hav...

Re: Supports

I seem to be making progress The supports come away nicely now but they are still leaving the first layer of the print behind on the support material. Any suggestions? I am using Raise3D PLA with Ideamaker 3.4.0 I am printing with a 0.1 layer height. Any suggestions what to try to stop this layer be...

Re: Supports

Hi crimsonyoshi could you send me a screen shot of the setting you suggest.
I am starting to dispair of getting any type of finish using supports and having to attack it with a soldering iron after the print!

Thanks

Supports

I am having problems with supports leaving marks behind after removal.
There seem to be lots of settings but I have no idea the consequences of these.

How do I avoid / minimise this without using fancy support filaments?

Nozzle hitting workpiece after resume

During a long print the filament ran out ( at night of course! ) I loaded new filament and resumed the print. When the nozzle approached the work piece it ended up scrapping along the top as if it was one layer lower than it should have been. Anyone experienced this? If the printer does run out of f...

Re: Unused Nozzle Temp fluctuates

I did a factory reset as suggested. I also went around the head and pushed on all the connectors I could see. It now works fine!
I reckon that one plug got slightly unplugged ( nothing visible ) when I removed the mass of plastic over the other nozzle.

Thanks for the suggestions

Re: Unused Nozzle Temp fluctuates

I did have to recently remove the left nozzle and get rid of a huge build up of plastic from a failed print. Any suggestions what I might have done to mess up the right hand nozzle?

Re: Unused Nozzle Temp fluctuates

Temperature fluctuation is normally due to wrong temperature feedback. Have check the connections of ribbon cables and thermocouplers on boards? Would you like to reach our technicians at http://help.raise3d.com. I would recommend do not operate the printer with no people around until the issue bei...

Unused Nozzle Temp fluctuates

I just started to notice this after updating printer and ideamaker to latest versions. When printing a big item ( 56hrs ) with the left nozzle and no filament in the right nozzle the software shows the temperature of the right nozzle rapidly fluctuating from about 20 deg and 270. The change are so r...
