Buildplate temperature low on startup

I just checked my buildplate actual temperature. I have it set at 55 C, Touch says it is 55, but actual temperature at start of print is only 39 C. When I measure on the bottom, it is about what Touch says it is. Thus the plate at start of print is about 15 Deg C lower then what Touch says. During p...

Re: Question about cable channel access

Have you considered 3D printing your own duct? of buy a ready made cable duct with a cover?? https://www.automationdirect.com/adc/overview/catalog/wiring_solutions/wire_duct_-a-_accessories?utm_source=msn%20cpc&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=electrical%20cable%20ducting&utm_campaign=Wire%20Mana...

Re: No Dual Print possible

EDIT (had to correct my BS) @Korni. I too had a issue after the update. I had my Right extruder offset configured in the Ideamaker software. I noticed you have no offset configured in either Raisetouch or Ideamaker printer settings. The virtual offset does not apply any real offset and is only so Id...

Re: Wifi switch off after power down

FYI, since I restarted the printer from the touch screen my WIFI connects every time.. and maybe this helps:
My printer is connected to 5G WIFI and I have a permanent IP address assigned for the printer (in my router).

Re: I need support from everyone

Can you please describe the problems? I cannot speak for the community here but I think we all like to help you. So please provide some details on the issues. FYI, I too had some issues, but except for 1 hardware issue, we worked through them and got them all addressed. I have found the Raise3D supp...

Re: Raising the standard cover

@Mike..your'e welcome.. As to the sliders, I printed them on their long side, so that the "grain" would line up with the other pieces, but you could try printing them laying down flat. printing these thin pieces straight up, causes some bulging in the corners and the vent holes, which have...

Re: Raising the standard cover

Mike, This is working really well. I can now leave my hood on with PLA, just open the vents, not getting too hot. With ABS, I just close the vents.. I tried to see if I could regulate the temp during printing and you can see a 4 to 12 deg. C drop with vents open vs closed (depending on how many are ...

Re: Wifi switch off after power down

Mine is ok (for now).. I connected with the WLAN, then I restarted the printer from the touch screen. That apparently saved it.. Now if I switch of either at the printer switch or at the UPS, WLAN settings are retained..

Re: Filament Stepper Motors very hot - even when not printing with nozzle

So, below is link to a little video I made. In a previous post, I made a comment that my right extruder motor was stalling. It happens when the wire harness (inside the plastic chain guide) was being stressed in a certain way, especially when printing in the far right corner. Have look...it causes r...

Re: Filament Stepper Motors very hot - even when not printing with nozzle

May I have a picture of your print failure in corners? Or a picture of large size print but can show print issue at corners? I have done more testing. It only happens on my Right extruder motor. Printing in the same location with the left extruder it is all good(Same settings, Same roll of filament...

Re: Filament Stepper Motors very hot - even when not printing with nozzle

So, I have spend the last 14 hours trying to get a large print to work. I was printing Air in both far and near right corners, but without extruder grinding. My problem was/is present only with the hood on. I then wondered why only air printing in the far and near right corner. Then I noticed anothe...

Re: Filament Stepper Motors very hot - even when not printing with nozzle

I installed the 2 heatsinks referred to in other posts and I must say, it does run substantially cooler even with the top on. I ran a print with a lot of retractions and it now only gets warm to the touch. Note I cut the corners out of the heat sink to retain access to the screws on the motor. I did...

That looks good!, what type of hose are you using?? Do you have any concerns that the hose is causing issues with the motors having to push harder??

Compliment for Raise3D Pro2

Just want to share how good the PRO2 in recovering from a power failure.. During a 58 hrs!! print job, the power failed twice (Houston thunderstorms), with the first one I was around and I resumed the print job within a few minutes. For the 2nd I was not around, so by the time it restarted all the s...

Re: Filament Stepper Motors very hot - even when not printing with nozzle

Great idea!! In noticed in your photo that you extruder motor friction regulator appears all the way tight (Springs look closed). For mine: Without filament in it, the springs are only barely compressed. Then with filament in them, they still have a lot of room to work back and forth, for sure mine ...

Re: Fan wing is missing ...

Korni, I think you need to contact Raise and ask them to send you a new fan or they can tell you the make and model. If you trace the wire around the back and up, you will see it has a connector. If you struggle getting it from Raise; It is a basic PC cooling fan and you should be able to find these...
