Re: Connectivity Issues

Thanks for the insight. Yes, hopefully as this has been a useful tool to keep from "hovering" in the print room....

Re: 2 year with PRO 2

Shelton, I fully agree to your statements above. If this machine had a more consistent extruder / hot end, they could truly live up to their promise on next generation. And also agree, many other good points too. BUT, my ability to launch and leave a print on this machine.... confidence = zero. Simp...

Connectivity Issues

While using the App on my phone, I'm seeing the single printer I use flash on and offline, randomly while either in standby or in printing mode. The video feed will also randomly go in and out. Any reasons for this? Happening consistently over the past week or two of use. What can I do to troublesho...

Raise3D Pro2 Nozzle Thread Size

All,

I'm looking at aftermarket nozzles for the Pro2 Plus. Can anyone tell me the thread size so I get the proper nozzle and fit?

Thanks!

Reply to this post as well...

Retried this print with Low Power Option for extruders. Failed Exact same point. Starting layer 2.

Extruders beyond hot to touch.

Re: Filament Stepper Motors very hot - even when not printing with nozzle

Follow up...

Same print, all the same settings, retried with Low Power Mode on, exact same fail point. After layer on of the actual parts, the extruder starts skipping and printing nothing.

(See attached photo. Fail #2.)

Need insight.....

Re: Filament Stepper Motors very hot - even when not printing with nozzle

The current version of RaiseTouch firmware for Pro2 series has added Lower Power Mode option for extruder motors. If your filament is very sensitive to heat, you can enable Low Power Mode to decrease electric current of the motor. vicky, Does this setting have any detrimental effects to performance...

Re: ABS Print Settings

Vicky, I just attempted a 15 hour ABS print using factory settings on .4mm Factory Nozzle, Raise3D ABS material. Failed in about 1 hour (first layer basically) as the left extruder jammed. (Single extrusion print) This is similar to results I've had in the past with heat related jamming on PLA. How ...

Re: ABS Print Settings

Vicky, The problem with that is I'm using 0.2mm Nozzles and in order to setup the printer, I must Duplicate the Default Pro2 Plus Profile, which REMOVES all the default material templates. How can I adjust the nozzles for my printer (and I may go back and forth with sizes) and not lose these templat...

ABS Print Settings

All, I've seen the various posts relating to best ABS printer settings, but I have one basic question: What is the Best Settings profile for Raise3D ABS filament, 1.75mm, on the Raise3D Pro 2 Plus? I'm currently struggling to dial in a basic Raft print. The layers are not fused and the extrusions lo...

Extrusion Retraction Speed

Raise3D Team,

What is the recommended extrusion retraction speed, and what is the same maximum for PLA? ABS?

Thanks!

Variable Thickness per Layer

R3D Team,

I noticed in the latest software ad, you show a familiar looking sphere (one piece) in the slicer. Are you saying this is feasible with the latest slicing tools?

Very curious.

Thanks!

Remote Power Down

All,

Is there a way to control the following via the cloud interface:

-Remote Power Off/ON?
-Shut off all fans and cabinet lights?

I'm trying to find a way to be able to kick on/off the machine, remotely, but I don't want to leave it on all the time with the fans running and LED's on.

Thoughts?

Re: Inconsistent Z Axis Homing

Zemlin, That's a good point, but does introduce the need to home for every temp range you choose to use. Eeek! Harrelsontrumpets, Glad I'm not the only one seeing this. I expected more robust consistency, at least something a little closer each time. I agree the light gap sensor may not be accurate ...

Re: Inconsistent Z Axis Homing

Vicky,

I'm not sure I understand. Are you asking me a question or stating something? Sorry.

Are you saying that indeed checking multiple homing operations in sequence, the nozzle gap will change? Or are you asking me if I noticed the change after checking multiple homing sequences?

Inconsistent Z Axis Homing

All, I believe I'm experiencing some inconsistency with my Z- Axis height after homing during print start. I diligently pre-check and set the nozzle gap with a gauge, and then kick off the print, but the machine seems to either not repeat the gap upon print start. Either too close or too far. Any in...

Printing with S3D - WiFi Connection?

Anyone know how this can be done? I'm moving to S3D do to repeated issues with IM.

Loading using USB files is ok, but live connection is better. Anyone done this yet?

Thanks!
