Re: IdeaMaker feature requests

A new version of PrusaSlicer will soon be released and it will have a new solid infill pattern that I would very very much like to see in IdeaMaker. The goal of the new pattern called monotonic is to improve the surface finish/look of top surfaces with holes in them. I have seen some friends test pr...

Re: Precision placement of Z-Seam on single and multiple objects.

Currently I don't think it's possible to get IdeaMaker to put the seam on a flat face. It would be nice if it was possible.

[BUG][IM-3.6.1.4415] M221 related bug

Title: M221 related bug Description: The first line in every gcode file starts with an M221 command for example "M221 T0 S87.50" This is fine assuming that the tool in question is already active. If the tool in not active you will get a "no tool selected" error from the printer f...

[BUG][IM-3.6.1.4415] heatup gcode warning

Title: heatup gcode warning Description: If you don't check "Insert Heatup GCode Automatically in Start Gcode" you will get a "The heatup gcode is NOT added in the Start GCode!" warning, unless the main template custom start gcode contains an M104 or M109. This is an issue/ bug f...

Re: IdeaMaker feature requests

1. Holding temperature not during printing will be better to be modified in firmware instead of slicing software as the slicing software normally generates codes for one print task. This is true, but having the ability to do everything in one spot has benefits. Les chance for user errors, and lest ...

Re: IdeaMaker feature requests

After another round of profile creation, I've created a little list of features that I think could be helpful to users. 1) Even if a printer only has 1 extruder, it would still be nice to have an inactive/standby temperature setting available, and to also have it available as a placeholder for custo...

Re: IdeaMaker feature requests

I'd like to also suggest a sorting function is sorely needed for templates. for example over the last few days I've been working on creating some basic petg templates for a new machine. When I'm done, i'll have 3 print speeds, and each of those will have 5 different acceleration and jerk combos. Tha...

Thanks, that seems to be better than printing external shells first.

Re: Why does The seam jump around like this?

Attached is the stl and an export of my slicer template settings. Through pure trial and error I was able to determine that it all seems to be tied to "Print External Shells First". It is enabled in the attached export and everything works as expected, the seem is in the same place. As soo...

Why does The seam jump around like this?

The Outer shells of this print are exactly the same from top to bottom, but the seam doesn't stay in the same spot even though I have layer start point set to fixed, and place seam on set to none. It seems almost like when other features start or stop like top and bottom solid fill, etc the seam jum...
