Re: Liquid cooled heat sink for the Pro2

Sorry this is so late but the water cooling part replaces the heat sink. If you look at the picture in the post you can see it’s a hollow copper block.

Re: Headers for Autoleveling...

I would like this too. I have been toying with the idea of building something to assist with auto leveling. Something external to the existing hardware and software. But if there is an existing solution I would love to see it.

Re: update,.. date?

Thanks you for asking this question. I had heard about it (the update) last month and have been checking the site regularly for information. Vicky, can you tell us which things will be updated? It sounds like IdeaMaker but what about the RaiseTouch? Can you tell us about what advances we will see? (...

USB ports/comunications

I would like to know if the USB ports between the control boards on the Raise3d Pro2 are USB 3.1, 3.0, or 2.

Thanks,
James

Re: Raise3D connected with 3DPrinterOS

I don't fully understand your question. The raspberry Pi has a software program designed by 3DPrinterOS and connects with the PRUSA i3 MK3 throught the same way. I connect the raspberry pi with the same type of cable as the Raise3D (the cable I showed one post above). Then the printer shows up on m...

Re: Raise3D connected with 3DPrinterOS

Do you mean that you have seen the error when you connect the printer to raspberry pi? You may have connected the wrong serial port so that the data can be communicate properly. Sorry, but we haven't tried this before, or I can show you the correct wiring can work or configuration guide. Can you po...

Re: Compatibility with octoprint

Sorry about resurrecting this thread but it's a good introduction to my question.
Are we sure that disconnecting the LCD's serial port to connect a Raspberry Pi with Octoprint is safe and won't do anything permanent?

Re: Other brand materials setting

I have used Polymaker because it was on the list. I have had pretty good results with the PolyMax. Not so much with the PolySupport but I will keep trying.

There are only 3 profiles on the page you sited for PRO2. I know there are plans to add more but *when* will more be added?

Re: Ide

Firesped... Are you talking about the 100 mps in the Ethernet setup? I use a wireless connection. (and my connection rate is 100 mps in Ethernet anyway.) The router connection is good. I have a few wireless devices further away in the same room. I don't actually have a problem with the connection in...

Re: Ide

Thanks Shelton. I have an addition camera already too. The commands for stopping/pausing/printing are through the existing software and it doesn't provide any way of interfacing as far as I can see. Actually, I can't even get it (the remote printer connect window from IdeaMaker) to maintain the conn...

Ide

I don’t suppose there is any kind of IDE for the touch screen or control software? Or maybe some way of sending statuses to the serial port? I’d like to monitor what is going on and ask my smart speaker what the status of the print is and get it to announce when it’s done.

Re: Two Extruder PETG Problems

I just got a $35 food dehydrator and an (upside-down) 5 gallon bucket from Home Depot to put on top of it. I fully intend on cutting a hole in the top so that I have an actual flow of air from bottom to top and mount some cheapo $2 digital temperature/humidity sensors in the sides at some point but ...

Re: Two Extruder PETG Problems

I am sorry that I have not got back to this thread sooner. I wanted to include some pictures. I was having trouble with constant extrusion from 230 degrees to 250 degree. The PETG was rated for temperatures from 220 to 250 but no matter what I did both extruders leaked and oozed. I am SO glad that I...

Re: Two Extruder PETG Problems

Sorry; I must not be communicating effectively. Thank you for the replies. I have only tried PETG with the single extruders at factory PRO2 settings. They work fine at 250. There is oozing but because the single extruder is used continuously it doesn't matter. I imagine if I paused the printing for ...
