Re: Heated bed temp sensor

#1 the bed temp sensor is a thermistor. #2 The 3 wires is a massive hint they have added a fixed resistor to make a voltage divider (thermistor is the variable, the fixed is the other half) #3 You might be duplicating a fixed voltage divider resistor in the heated bed circuit of most 32 bit boards....

Heated bed temp sensor

Hey, I'm looking to migrate to a 32bit board. I'd like to use the stock heated beds temp sensor. I see that it's wiring says v+ S and Gnd. Should I simply wire a 5v positive to the V+ pin, the S to the detecting pin and Gnd to the Gnd pin. So, two wires (S and Gnd) to the 2 pin socket and 1 wire to ...

Re: Unused pins on printer board

Well it did work via a standard LCD.

But was ridiculously annoying.

I'm installing a 32bit board to it instead. Just trying to sort the hot end thermistor.

Re: Unused pins on printer board

No, the microcntroller is TTL serial data. The USB to serial conversion happens in the smaller micro controller. You have to have a USB to TTL serial converter and also know the solder points on the board to connect to. It was not designed for alternate connections and this is all really advanced h...

Re: Unused pins on printer board

Hey, sorry for the thread necro.

I noticed in your schematics. There is a USB header location above the USB port.

Can these be utalised to connect to the main board via USB? My board isn't being recognised as a USB device due to what I can only suspect to be a microcontroller failure.

Thanks

I can't see why that wouldn't work.

BMG mounting

Hello all.

I have a few BMG clones which work great on my i3 printers and enders. I'd like to fit one to my N2 as it's been skipping on PETG when printing.

Does anyone have any idea on how to mount them? A link to an STL perhaps?

Many thanks, your help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Has anyone done a 32bit upgrade to the N2 series?

I have a spare SKR Mini E3 board from my Ender 3. Its a 32bit board. I'm thinking, that the Only issue with using a new board is the thermocoupler. Whats stopping me from using a standard Thermistor? Absolutely nothing. What's stopping me using a standard 24v 40W heater cartridge? Again absolutely n...

Re: Mainboard replacement.

Hello all. Update to this. I plugged in a LCD screen I found on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B019SXNH1S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Once I reversed the connectors, it displayed MERLIN 1.1.1 and then gave me control to use the printer like any other. And t...

Re: Stepper Driver Boards

Take the stepper drivers out. Look at the pins. Ensure the pins names are identical to the old stepper driver. Also ensure the pins are in the correct position. Look at a untouched driver to be sure. Some of these drivers have the pins the wrong way around. Also, if they are TMC Drivers, you don't r...

Mainboard replacement.

Hello. I've come into possession of a Raise3D N2. It's around 5 years old based on the date on the battery. It has a problem which has stopped it being functional. The screen unit has fried. Some components have burnt out, therefore it doesn't function. I thought about simply controlling the printer...

I'm also interested in doing this.

I'll buy a cheap board and see if I can get it working.
