Re: GCode Tab
It works for me. Keep in mind that this is not left extruder gcode/right extruder gcode. You are only going to get one or the other. And to get the 2-extruder gcode, that second extruder has to be actively used in the output file. Either assign it to infill, supports, etc. or assign it to a second m...

Re: Start gcode tab not showing
Start and End PRINTER gcodes are not tabs. They are text boxes, which show in the image you provided. printer gcode.png To work with them, you have to copy/paste between that teeny field and your text editor. As Vicky pointed out, there are tabs elsewhere for TEMPLATE gcodes. You can find FILAMENT g...

Re: Creality Printer Issue
ideaMaker tech support has not been in these forums for a couple months now and questions like yours are going unanswered. I am just a user that is very happy with the software and likes to help. It does not look like you've been back since you posted your question, but if you still want help, send ...

Re: First Layer Settings
The settings you provided are fine, no problem there. Here are a few options to try: 1. (Not too likely) The nozzle and/or bed could be too cool, not allowing the filament to melt together in the first layer. 2. (Not likely if you calibrated the printer when you set it up) The nozzle is too high off...

Re: Ideamaker settings question
It is really hard to diagnose printing issues from a blurry photo, but it looks like the ideaMaker print is over-extruded. You didn't say anything about which template/profile you are using in both slicers. You should start with a profile made for your printer and a template made for your filament. ...

Re: CF Nylon print issue
The photos look like partial clogs, particularly at the top of the part, but it is hard to tell from a highly compressed photo. Taulman recommends printing their Nylon CF at 250–260°C, so you are printing a little cool, and putting it through a nozzle with a crooked internal path (if you use a Solex...

Re: TPU-95A ambient/usable temp?
I could not find heat deflection or Vicat softening specs available for Raise 3D's TPU-95A and I have not used it myself. I looked through all the 95A TPU spec sheets that I do have. Most did not have the data, but those that did showed heat deflection around 90–100 °C @66 psi. Ultimaker 95A TPU is ...

Re: Anyone tried soft TPU like Ninjaflex?
The filament bunching up is a sign of trying to print too fast, and/or too cold. Flexible filaments like Ninjaflex and Chinchilla are very hard to print without a hot end specifically designed to constrain the filament between the extruder and the nozzle. I have printed Ninjaflex successfully, but I...

Re: How to remove gcode M1001?
The M1001 is in your gcode because you put it in your "End of Start gcode" field in the second photo. Leave it blank or add your own custom gcode. Same for M1002 and M2000.

Unexpected and Undesirable Behavior of Adaptive Infill
It appears that adaptive infill was designed to only work under flat horizontal structures. I tried it on a recent project, and found that it does not work well at all on 1) a domed top, or 2) small features. Here is an example where adaptive infill is printed in mid-air under a domed surface instea...

Can we Please get the ability to delete default filaments?
My filaments are buried under 25 default filaments that I will never use. Multiple people have begged for the ability to remove them for several years. Please increase the priority of this important UI improvement.

How Do I Reorder Filaments?
I currently have 25 filaments in ideaMaker, with more to come after ERRF. They are in a random order making them very difficult to find. How do I put them in alphabetical order, or at least group them by filament type? I tried editing config.xml, and that looks good, but it breaks all the links to t...

Re: Only shells without filling
I agree that this should not happen. I usually design my parts so that walls are even multiples of the line width, but I see it anyway sometimes. There seems to be some kind of dimensional error, either in the slicer or in the STLs that I generate. One way that often fixes this is to go to the "...

Re: ensure vertical thickness
One way to do this is use a different slicer. Is the best way to get help by being insulting? I was already familiar with the video you referenced, otherwise I would not sit through a 15 minute video just to figure out what you are asking. You can include a timestamp in a YouTube URL, in case you d...

Re: UI wont fit my laptop screen
I switched to Apple, but I used to see the same problem as you in several Windows programs. Until there is a formal update from ideaMaker, you can use the keyboard to move the window. Click in the troublesome window to make it active. Alt-spacebar will bring up a menu (that you may or may not see), ...

Re: start at Z ???
Though I don't know of a direct way to restart in the middle of a print like you want, here two workarounds: ⋅ Lower your object on the bed by 56 layers to hide below the bed the section that you don't want to reprint. Then set your global z offset in the "other" tab to the equiv...
