Re: Temperature Sensor Error

I decreased the stepper voltage from 0.9v to 0.6v. It didn't make any difference. The motor is still too hot to touch, and the print failed.

Re: Temperature Sensor Error

I just don't understand why this is necessary. I have other printers running bondtech extruders with motors half of the size of what is on my N2, and they don't overheat. I adjusted the driver voltage down and it is still so hot you can't touch it while it is printing.

That is the understatement of the year. The stepper motor on my N2 is so hot that I have to keep the cover off to keep ABS from melting in the feed block.

Is low power mode available for the N2? I don't see it in my firmware.

Re: Uploaded file in random position

I set the correct time / date this morning. After turning off the machine, it booted back up as 9/22.

Re: Uploaded file in random position

I corrected the date on 9/15 when I made the post above. Today it shows 9/22. For some reason it is losing track of the date.

Re: Uploaded file in random position

After a little more research, the software is sorting by date, but the dates make no sense. I created and uploaded a slice yesterday, that has a date of 2020/04/02. Close to the top of the list is a part that has been on the machine for several months with a date of 2020/04/19. So it appears somethi...

Re: Uploaded file in random position

Any progress on this? I'm on the latest version and the files are not sorted by date (even though that is the setting in the software.

Load / Unload

Is there a reason the Load and Unload functions are separate? Why can't these appear on the same window?

Changing filament always involves an unload, and then a load.

Why does my printer keep trying to connect to the Raise3d server

I noticed in the logs of my firewall that my printer is attempting to communicate with your server at 218.244.146.143:80.

Why is my printer doing this, and what kind of information are you gathering?

How do I turn this feature off?

Re: IdeaMaker doesn't see printer

I just tested every version of the software and I am not able at this time to replicate the problem. If it comes back, I will post an update.

Does anyone know which version to use to get rid of this message?

Re: IdeaMaker doesn't see printer

0.9.11.612
11.6-rev1

I haven't done a thorough test of all versions, but I rolled back to this and all of a sudden the printer was visible on the network again.

Re: IdeaMaker doesn't see printer

The problem is not with my Network. Right now it works fine. If I were to install the latest version of the firmware, the PC would no longer be able to find the printer.

Re: IdeaMaker doesn't see printer

That solution only worked for me for a little bit. I had to roll back to an earlier version of the printer firmware to get it to find the printer on the network.

Do the replacement extruders have any way to lift the unused nozzle out of the way?

Re: Retrofit N2 with Pro series features

We NEED the lifting extruder system on the N2s, its their biggest flaw, i bought it because of the dual extrusion, but i see it as useless because of the scraping and oozing everywhere. It is to the point where i never bothered putting the 2nd extruder back on after maintenance. +1. My dual head ex...

Re: No Network Connection

This turns out to be a Raisetouch issue. I rolled back to 0.9.7 and now I can connect to the printer without issue.

Re: ERROR: Network not connected

This is a software/firmware problem. I rolled back to Raisetouch 0.9.7 and it connects to the network without any issues. (And as an added bonus, I don't have the annoying screens at the end of my print.)
