Your issue sounds might be related to Motor Cable.
As the issue changes when you try to move the extruder to different position, which flex the motor cable as well.

Would you like to advise more information about the inaccurate issue you meet? The measurement is not accurate or the print result is not good enough for you?

No, it not the top of the model, but the top few layers of each sections.

The Thermal Runaway detection is hardware based. Would recommend to you to open a support ticket to reach to our support at http://help.raise3d.com to help diagonise the issue before purchasing.
The issue may be related to be bed, but also possible to cables or other boards, or extruder heating.

Is your printer a single-extruder printer or a dual-extruder one? Does the same issue happens on the same filament on right extruder?

Looks like it is under-extruding. Have you tuned any settings in your template? Can you reset the settings in ideaMaker back to default and run a test print again? Is the issue happening on both nozzles or only one side?
