Re: Is it OK to buy the Pro 2 now?

Thanks. Is the lack of auto leveling a problem? If I recall correctly, even Raise3D mentioned that there is no need to recaliberate the build plate, sometimes they are not levelled properly due to long transportation. Since this is such a big and heavy machine, if something goes wrong, besides the ...

Broken Fan Duct

Has anyone ever had the front fan duct on there Pro2 break? There is a part on the back that holds it onto the extruder that broke off. If anyone has had this happen, do you have the .stl file and would you mind sharing it?

Thanks.

Re: Is it OK to buy the Pro 2 now?

I have been using a Pro2 at work for about 10 months now. I have had a few QC issues that still show themselves every once in a while, such as: When we first received the machine the thermistor wires were crossed over each other ebfore going into the terminal and they would occasionally touch and ca...

Re: to buy the Raise3d Pro2?

Point 1: The lack of adjustable Z-height has proven itself to be somewhat annoying. I have a Prusa MK2S at home and I am constantly adjusting my live z height, but I use the Pro2 at work and it is impossible to tell how far you have adjusted the nozzle with the method used on the Pro2. With that bei...

Re: Pro2 Temperature Fluctuations/Jams

Check the red and white cables going to the thermistor coming out of the green terminal blocks on the extruder board. If you look at the picture you can see in the left terminal that the white wire crosses over the top of the red wire (this was before I fixed it) and very randomly the wires would sh...

Re: Major Update & Improvements for Pro2 and N Series

I just did all of the updates and now the holes on my parts are out of round? Is there some kind of offset that changed? Would you like to share the .idea, .gcode and .data files with us to test? It turns out it was a broken coupler, it just so happened to be at the same time I had done the updates.

Re: Cold nozzles reading 240° C

I had the same problems on my Pro2. I ended up re-seating the thermistor cables inside of the top green terminal boxes. For whatever reason they were installed with one cable crossed over the other one. Every once in a while the printer would shift just right and cause those two wires to come in con...

Re: Annoying Sound on my Pro2

Tech support says they believe it is a broken coupler and they are sending me a new one. I suspect I will receive it next week and replace it then. Interesting. Sounds like I will have to look more closely at nine here, Thanks for the response. I finally received the replacement coupler today and i...

Re: PETG on Pro2

Just finished a test cube with the standard PETG settings for the Pro2. Came out pretty well, much better than my print on the N2. the layers are very well bonded, there is some light stringing between pieces but not bad. I did not use a raft and it stuck to the buildtak very well with the bed dista...

Re: End of filament sensor

Hello everyone, i ordered an end of filament sensor for my N2 plus months ago and i have yet to receive it. I now see the pro 2 is being shipped with this sensor. What gives? Am i the only one not getting the sensor or is it everyone? I submitted a ticket and i get some vague reply that said i woul...

Re: PETG on Pro2

I am currently running some tests on it now, I just tried on my N2+ for the first time last week and I had very weak layers and my outer shells actually peeled right off. I will let you know what works for PETG on the Pro2 once I can get it dialed in.

Re: Odd Print Failures Pro2

Hi guys, I'm all of a sudden running into printing issues with my Pro2, no idea what could be causing them. I've had several long prints fail on me with settings that have worked in the past, I've attached an image of the most recent failure. IMG_0940.JPG Honestly can't tell if there is nozzle drag...

Re: Annoying Sound on my Pro2

My first guess would be a failed motor to shaft coupler. If the motor was even slightly misaligned, these couplers fail in short order (days or weeks) because every rotation of the shaft fatigues the already thin aluminum. http://forum.raise3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=1281 Thanks for the info. I just pu...

My biggest concern is the lack of an error when there is a 150+ temperature reading swing. It shouldn't compensate for that by immediately starting to heat up.

Pro2 Overheating.

Thought I would give the community a heads up, I just purchased a Pro2 for work and we have had it for just under a month. We are having some serious issues with the nozzles overheating. This has happened a few times where the print temperature shown on the touchscreen has dropped drastically and st...
