Big problem isnt runouts - its Jamming. Where gear is grinding into filament but filament is not moving. Would this be detected by the runout sensor??
result leads to those terrible isolation tube clogs since the filament is sitting there not moving for hours

Re: May actually be a good new feature! --Bug: slicer error
on second thought, this makes printing overhangs more reliable but doubled the print time of my test print - may want to modify by adding a button to turn off and on in slicer

Re: Bug: slicer error

Re: ideaMaker 3.1.0 Release Note
please do. Very useful for things like looking at print traces around holes for press inserts and checking for problems when there are gaps around edges of these inserts

Re: ideaMaker 3.1.0 Release Note
yes but that is a mistake. I want to see each trace independently when things aren't printing as expected. We need that functionality. BTW it's in every other slicer I've worked with.

Re: ideaMaker 3.1.0 Release Note
print preview in 2d is now a problem. it no longer clearly shows the traces, instead, it merges the lines into a big white mass. Please go back to where we can see the print lines in 2d mode

Re: I’ve bought thermal insulation sheets and kapton tape. Now what?
I usually use 1 wrap. I also use 2 strips so that there is a sleeve that hangs out over the end you can cut the edges and fold it up and tape it like a present'

Re: Visualisation origin move
May I suggest: Make a model of a ring that encompasses your delta print volume. Place that on the ideamaker build plate first, then place the things you really want to print inside it. last, delete the ring before slicing

Re: Carbon Fiber Print surface??
Interesting finding: The manufacturer is waiting for new boards and rec that I sanded the boards with fine grit. I sanded with 800 and 16oo grit and white flakes started coming off the plate - My guess is that the hairspray is contaminated with some heavy wax that you can't easily wash off. It accum...

Re: Print Misalignment
I believe the picture shows the problem: you most likely had head strikes from edge curl. This can happen with any filament but is most common with PLA and slanted walls. To prevent it: make sure fan is full on (uncovered) and insulate your hotend.

total print time reporting
It woud be very helpful to know how long it ACTUALLY took to print something. I understand that there is no feedback from the motion board BUT you could time from the start of loading gcode until the temperature drops.
