Re: Extruder Board Fried

When replacing the heater element on the V2 nozzle I noticed the plastic shielding pulled back and the exposed wired very close to one another. I am wondering if this wasn't the cause. This episode happened after the nozzle crashed into the print and cause the glass bed to shift, I am wondering if t...

Re: Extruder Board Fried

Jet Guy, this was so helpful, I don't know how to repay you. Thank You for such a detailed reply, I am truly in your debt. I was able to pull an Ohms reading off the heaters Left heater was at 10.2 ohms right heater was 9.1 ohms respectively. It was interesting seeing what you said about running wit...

Extruder Board Fried

I am wondering if the scorched pin on the extruder board is a symptom or the cause. Does anyone know what the three prong connector goes to from the extruder board?

Re: Shell seperation

OK, so I was able to navigate to the step-E mm settings on the touch screen. it was set at 300. I chose the leveling block in examples and made an initial print at 300. I had the same separation issue (call it anxiety). I then adjusted the the Step E mm to 325 (because more is better, right?) the se...

Re: Shell seperation

The the touschscreen doesn't modify print files, but it did add pre-print and power on commands sent to the motion board to change the defaults from original OEM as built firmware in the motion board. The N series had "direct drive" feeders and Bondtech was an upgrade. Ok, this makes sens...

Re: Shell seperation

Here is a photo of what I am experiencing. I have tried everything I know to stop this, but to no avail. I have slowed the print speed I have changed nozzles, I tried resetting the extrusion settings, nothing seems to work.

Shell seperation

I recently had to change out my touch screen. After receiving the new one and installing it, latest firmware, and latest version of ideamaker, I have been having the issue of the outer shells separating from the print. It's almost as if its printing it as a thin wall instead of an outer shell. Many ...

Shell delaminating from print

Hello, I am using an N2 Plus dual machine. I recently had some trouble with a couple of the boards and have subsequently replaced them. One of the boards being the touchscreen unit. After installing the new boards and running my first few prints i noticed that the shells being printed are "de-l...

Re: Nonplanar printing

+1 here too. The duel extruder isn't a problem for me as i just remove the second nozzle if i want to print non linear. It only takes 5 min. to remove and put back, well worth the time to get non planar option in ideamaker

Raise PETG is awesome

I started printing with PETG from the Raise store...This is probably the best material I have ever printed. Granted i haven't strayed from the filament path too far, but so far this PETG is hands down the best i have ever printed. Extruder Temp: 265c Bed Temp: 80c First Layer speed: 15mm/sec Normal ...

Shop Vac Adapter

I started using PETG that I buy from Raise store. I do not think I will be printing with anything else. This stuff is fantastic. The G in PETG is glycol it makes this material more malleable thanPLA or polycarbonate or even straight PET for that matter. This is a simple print of an adapter for a sho...

Airflow Adapter

Airflow adapter used to vent rotary feeder. the aluminum pipe is 8" sch.10 and the round part of the square to round transition is 3" sch. 40. I am using a N2+ for these prints. This part has to be stout, so I printed 5 shells @ 60% infill using Raise3D premium PLA. The layer height is set...

Pre-Heating nozzle & bed

I wish there was a way to preheat the nozzles and bed prior to printing. I can preheat the nozzle by doing a LOAD and leaving it there until everything has come up to temperature but that does nothing for the bed temp. I noticed that until the bed is heated and stable, it is very difficult to get a ...

Re: 1/20th scale model of one of our equipment lines

This was done on the N2+ dual extruder. Curious thing, I was having a bunch of self inflicted problems with the extruders, hot ends etc. and I bought the bondtech replacement extruders. Then suddenly, the printing gods smiled upon me and everything has been printing awesome. I haven't stopped it lon...

1/20th scale model of one of our equipment lines

This is a 1/20th scale model of one of our equipment lines. It was so accurate that it was used in the field construction office as a reference for the installation. If you zoom in on the top tanks you can see the jacking bolts. I used 1.4mm screws for the scaled bolts.

Edit: it stands 35" tall

Cool down inactive extruder not working

I installed the latest update of ideamaker and I am attempting to use one of the new features which allows the user to to turn the heat off on the inactive extruder to stop oozing of a different color during printing. It doessn't appear to be working. I set the temp to 80c for inactive cooling temp ...

5 Months and I think I have it down

I was a complete novice with 3D printing. I never owned a 3D printer before I bought my Raise3D N2+. I am from the mold that says if I want to stick with it, I am going to have to have some skin in the game financially. That is why after reading the reviews, talking to my buddy who has a N2, and rea...

Vicky that answers the x axis, how about the y axis?

Also, I do not use a raft, skirt or brim when printing. I have seen no need to do so.
