Re: Liquid cooling for everyone

This is rather easy - plugged to the Raise USB you can switch whatever you want, with the SSR in my drawing up to 480W. There is a whole bunch of SSRs available for this range, i chose the 34.81.7.005.8240 Finder. If you open an existing, not needed USB cable for this, it‘s usually the red and black...

Re: Liquid cooling for everyone

Hi Markus, have you ever checked how the system behaves when the cooling circuit is not active? Looks to me that the mass of the cooling block provides at least the same performance than the standard heat sink. I would run the cooling circulation pump automatically via Raise USB connection and SSR.

Re: Slice Engineering Mosquito Hotend Adapters

What nozzles are used with this hotend, any 6mm nozzles for 1.75 filament? Slice has several of their own hardened Vanadium nozzles (which carry a lifetime wear warranty) but you can also use any standard Raise/E3D compatible nozzle, so there are plenty of other options. https://www.sliceengineerin...

Re: Left or Right Nozzle

Good to hear, it seems related to the quality of the UM steppers - there are (were) several fails with bad bearings. The replacement motors are working now since 2016. I‘ve got 2 in spare, safety first ;-) https://community.ultimaker.com/topic/13706-stepper-motor-failed-on-um2-specs-for-ordering-a-n...

Re: Left or Right Nozzle

More build area is a good point. Can‘t subscribe that there‘s no wear on steppers - i had to replace 3 steppers on my Ultimaker, so far. All failed by defective ball bearings. 2 xy motors and 1 extruder. (Nema17)I know, can‘t compare the burden of x y motors with extruders, on the other hand they ar...

Friction free spool holder

i chose a design without adjustable holder, to keep enough clearance between spool and door. I made some adapters for most common diameters instead.

Re: N2 plus not a great experience before even printing

I got your points, thank you for your encouraging comment.. it took me ages to find out all appropriate seetings and countermeasures to make a nice and unwarped ABS print on UM2. And yes, there were cases of bent UM2 frames with one foot not touching the ground. And i'm aware that usually mostly dis...

Re: N2 plus not a great experience before even printing

Frightening....i m a UM2+ user and was thinking about purchasing a Raise because of the build volume..until i read this thread. This printer looks so groundbreaking stable, doesn't it? Pity..
