RAISE3D and FORM FUTURA

Postby Axel » Mon Jun 11, 2018 3:54 pm

FORM FUTURA (https://www.formfutura.com/blog/formfut ... program-19) has announced since April 2018 to have formed a partnership with RAISE3D for the provision of printing profiles of their filaments in IDEAMAKER software. ;)
Has this project progressed ?
Are these profiles already implemented in IDM 3.1.7 ?
Or can we hope for a quick update of this software to see this new feature ?

The partnership they mentioned should be Raise3D Open Filament Project.
The project is currently on-going, both Raise3D and Filament Manufactories are testing the possibility and workable printing settings for Raise3D printer.
We will release more news later, after the first batch of filament is ready to go.

Usually the print tests are at manufactory's side.
We only do the verify their profiles once they finish all their tests. So it might more likely be a question for them but not us.

Wrong answer. You should go PRUSA way. More research for customers more money. Open source projects and thinking is a better business. Even partially. Why? More filaments setups, more customers want to buy the machine. If they know that only works with few... bad advertising.

We do understand that customers are looking for more different filaments working on our printer. That's the reason why we start the open filament project. We have contacted a lot filament manufactories and invited them to join the project and we are still keeping on doing this.

I tell you something, I know I'm boring, but he PRUSA way is perfect. You should print - test most popular filaments and install settings in new Idea Maker upgrade.

Simple do some retraction, temperature and quality test. And adjust parameters for Idea Maker. This is magnet for customers. Check Cura soft for example... I love Idea Maker but it needs significant updates.
