Have you tried to used any of the advanced settings in 0.9.10 to set the Ethernet speed to 100Mbps? If not, I would give this a try.

I too thought a firmware update caused Ethernet issues for me. At the time I rolled back and it seemed to fix it but I soon realized that it wasn’t fixed & never really was working properly. I suspect that you had Ethernet issues this whole time but got lucky with your connection and it seemed to work before. At least that’s what I thought when it first happened to me.

Try adjusting the Ethernet settings in 0.9.10 per the release notes and see if it helps.

Thanks for the help Alex, I too suspect background ethernet issues otherwise why should I now be unable to connect with the printer like I have been doing forever.
What switch do they refer to, they talk about a managed switch? In any case I have rolled back to 0.9.7 to escape this confusion - so frustrating!!

Right now we have Cisco managed 1Gbps switches at the office. We previously had Netgear 1Gbps unmanaged switches and were having intermittent connection issues. You can read more about the problem here.

We are still in the middle of a few large projects so I haven’t upgraded yet plus I haven’t had a chance to get IT to make the needed changes to our switch. Therefore we are still just running our N2+ with a Netgear FS605 100Mbps switch between our printer and our network switch. It works fine that way but I know IT will flip when they realize it’s there.

Hope this helps!

I'm curious how many others are now testing the new latest 0.9.11 update that kind of went out silently since Raise 3D just keeps editing the title of this topic and editing the first post. I really think a new system to announce releases- especially ones that fix known bugs and a better marking of release versions needs to happen in the future.

Again, 0.9.11 supposedly fixes the bugs and new broken features present in 0.9.9 and 0.9.10.
0.9.9- resume print after power loss recovery sequence may fail to propery reheat the system before attempting to print
0.9.10- fixes the resume bug, but has a file sorting bug for the remote connection. As seen here viewtopic.php?f=3&t=8439&start=40#p32183
0.9.11- need to test all previous bugs, and then hope no new bugs we haven't kicked over yet in usage.

I am loading 0.9.11 today on 2 printers and will try to report back what I find.

OK, so testing 0.9.11, it appears the sort issue discovered around 0.9.10 but may have started in 0.9.9 is now working in 0.9.11.
In saying that, it means that by default after updating, sort on the LCD at the printer remains at sort by date uploaded, making your most recent file uploaded first on the list. Connecting remotely with Ideamaker produces the same result- sorting by date uploaded. Then, If you change the sort setting on the LCD at the printer, the same sort method is being used at the remote Ideamaker connection.
