Full size R2 D2

Here is my Raise3d N2 built full sized R2 D2 print.

I an using PLA and so far have done most of the main body.it has taken about 600 hours of printing to get this far and I suspect there will be another 1000 hours before I am finished.

very cool, I'm helping a guy at our makelab print one, did a 132 hr print for the foot. Now printer was broken and I need to do another.

R2s right leg is finished.About 150 hours of printing for this .

Yes the clear parts were printed with my Form2 SLA printer.

ahhhhhhh, so cool :) I'm watching your progress, deciding if I want to take the jump. Always wanted to print a full size R2 unit.

I think a project like this could never be considered truly "Finished". However I do agree with you we would love to see an update on this project!

You're done when you finished your first round of 'basic construction'. Then you go back and upgrade or fix what you didn't add on the first round. On both of my droids I'm on the advanced electronics stage where I'm adding gadgets, cameras, more servos and learning more information.
