Engineering plastic filament

Does anyone have any experience with any of the Igus Iglide 3D printing filaments? Particularly, how it prints (I'm using an N2) and also how it performs in the real world. This is a specialist engineering filament designed for load bearing applications.

There's a lot of information on various sources about using Igus polymer bearings in 3D printer design and construction but not a lot of independent testing of their 3D printing materials aside from some pretty basic "I printed a thing" videos on Youtube.

My plan is to try and replace simple cylindrical flanged bearings that we currently machine from solid bar stock, which should really help take some load off the machining side of things for us.

Never used it, but I'm very interested to see what you find in your tests.

Forum member mhayduk has printed with it. I recall that it was a struggle. Don't know where he ended up with the stuff. I have a couple samples, but have never tried printing with it. You might try messaging mhayduk (Matt) to see what his experience was.

Thanks, I'll wait a few days to see if he spots this thread, otherwise I'll PM.

Engineering and prototyping use was my main reason for getting into 3D printing, it's great to see this technology progress.
