Readable template files

Postby tja » Wed Jun 13, 2018 11:15 am

Hi all,

I am trying to document my print settings for production parts and I would like to just click a button and get a human-readable file with all the settings in the template. When I export a slicing template IM generates a BIN file but, of course, I can't read it. Does anyone know of a way to convert this BIN file into a readable text file?

By now, as far as I known, there is no access to read the .bin file.
We are considering to open readable template file in future, maybe .json type.

Another suggestion, for those of us that use IM for production as well as development, would be to make the slicing templates lockable. Then they would be protected against 'accidental' changes

Notes taken. Will add into developing list.
