PrimaSelect Flex - Black filament

Postby Tumphu » Sun Apr 22, 2018 4:10 pm

Hi,

I've bought 1kg of PrimaSelect Flex filament (http://www.primafilaments.com/product/primaselect-flex/)

So far managed to print it with these settings:

Bare, clean glass. Not spray, glue or anything.

Printer Anet A6 (default electronics, some frame modding, Marlin 1.1.8)
Bed temp 90c
Nozzle 230c (0.4mm)
1st layer 8mms with 104% flowrate (extra flow for better adhension) and 0.3mm thickness
Rest of layers 0.2mm thickness
Default printspeed 35mms
Inner shell 35mms
Outer shell 25mms
Infill 25mms
Movement speed 50mms
Retraction 2mm, 40mms, no zhop or extra retraction amount on start.

No cooling, HUGE brim (like 30-50 rounds).

Took me many prints to find these settings, hope these will give some of you basic setup where start tweaking them :)

Thank you, all that effort is appreciated.

Regarding the feeding method; did you had issues with the gear skipping? any special setup?

Didnt notice any gear slipping. Slow print speed doesnt put much pressure to nozzle.

There is still some huge adhension problems with this filament. I would not recommend it to anyone, sadly.

I'll use this roll then i try to find better one (easier to print).

There is like 70% failure rate so far :/
