New printer issues

Just got my printer today, was trouble shooting an issue that turned out to be under lubed bearings....problem solved, printed a benchy and i have this issue....not really sure what to do

you need more layers on top. Go into the infill tab of ideamaker and change the # of layers on top to a higher number

also, printing a 20mm x 20mm x 10mm tall calibration cube at 100% infill will help identify any under or over extrusion. make sure to caliper the filament along a 2 ft or so section (around 10 places) and take an average filament diameter to enter into Ideamaker.

Thanks Charles your solution worked great....my other printers print at a 4, I double the N2, that was already at 5, to 10 and it looks great.......we also noticed that the temp of the hot end is set at 215, im lowering it to 195, what my other machines do, and testing another one to see what it does

Keep in mind the number of top layers really depends on the layer thickness. The thinner the layers, the more layers you may need at the top.

check filament diameter and then print test cube. gotta print it, again and again. very diagnostic
