Push Plastics Large Roll clear PETG

Postby walshlg » Wed Jan 18, 2017 9:18 pm

Needing some big spools of PETG for long prints (wish me luck), testing Push Plastics. They have spools from 0.5kg to 50 kg!
very impressed:

Printing on Raise3d N2+, 800 um nozzle, 600um layer height

Using Big spools need a wall hanger:

Temperature ramp, max clarity from 230 to 270C! but printed at 210 too:

retraction settings speed 80.0, retract amount 1.2 mm, extra restart 0.4, 0.0 zHop
overhang gets iffy at 55degrees and getting minimal stringing with these settings

What is your bed adhesion like? I've been having success in the past with 45C with glue stick, but I just had my first birds nest using XT, as the parts simply lost all adhesion in the 10hr mark or so (glue stick, 55C).

I'm probably going to grab some hairspray on my way home from work to try that out. My prints are rarely under 12hrs, so I'd like to not waste that spendy euro plastic.

Also looking at trying 70C or so with a huge brim on just the clean buildtak.

I use hairspray on the carbon composite bed at 80C and it worked well for a 40hr print but as soon as it cooled to room temp the print popped off!

Thanks, I'll try those settings. And a good reminder about that bed. I meant to get it back when it was announced then forgot. Hopefully it's still available.
