Create Support Interface

Postby danielq » Mon Dec 10, 2018 7:20 am

Hello Folks,

is there a way to create a "interface" between the support and the part?

Sometimes the support is aligned with the layer it supports, causing an irregular surface.

thanks in advance for all your help

Vertical offset will allow you to stop support layers at <a> levels below the printed layer. for a given x-y coordinate. Dense layers will also create a higher infill support layer for the last <b> layers you specify prior to printing the part on the support structure.

I have my vertical offset set to 1 always, and only run dense support for things like polycarbonate prints on PolySupport, or tall support structures using PLA for both the part and the support material.

What about dense support layers?
It has high fill density which almost makes it to be a solid surface at the end of support but before real model surface.
