Change layer height during printing

Postby AFTECH » Wed Oct 31, 2018 7:54 am

Hello everybody
For some parts, the major shape of the part is rectangular and doesn't need particular attention during printing so i can use 0.2mm layer height to print it
But for the top area of the part, i've got more details and complex surfaces that gives poor result while using 0.2mm

My question is: in the slicing options is it posisble to ask ideamaker to use 0.2mm height from 0 to 25mm with high speed and then use 0.1 or 0.050mm height and low speed from 25mm to the end of the print ?

Thanks in advance

I've found it by myself: there's an option "per layer settings" in order to assign a different height along the printing

You can do it with Simplify 3D. You can slice your model at Z axis with adjustment profiles.... you can adjust and change almost everything...
