PLA Base Peels off Platform

Postby LuigiP » Fri Nov 11, 2016 5:53 am

Hello All,

I am new to 3D printing, Raise3D and this forum. I am looking for some help. Things have been going well except for one thing. Every now and then one corner corner of the base peels up from the platform. I have an N2+ using V2 hot end extruders. The platform temp is 40C and the nozzle temp is 205C. Material is PLA. Platform is BuildTak.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Please check whether your nozzle is close enough to the build plate. Normally we recommend 0.2mm. You can use a feeler gauge to check if you have. Or a name card.

If the nozzle distance is ok, please increase the bed temperature a little, maybe 50-60C to check whether it is better.

also clean your buildtack with alcohol. I have raised my plate temperature to 50C now that it is colder and I set my z height for 100 um (1 thickness sheet of paper) and I print first layer at about 75% of layer height. THis helped me.

Thanks to both of you! Both tips helped solve the problem.

I use that those elmers glue sticks and that helps quite a bit on larger parts peeling up.
