Hello everybody, just bought an N1 and wanted to check-in with you good people and say Hi!

My first impressions are very good, I love the printer. But as it's my first printer, what do I know?

I do have a couple of questions that maybe you could help me with...

Why does the battery take so long to charge up and then discharge quite quickly with the power off?
The fan noise from below is quite loud, is there a way to turn off the fan, or turn it down?
Thanks

Hello tja, thanks for your supporting and welcome to join this community!

Since our battery is reference voltage is from 3.00V to 4.00V, from 0% to 100%, that means 0.01V is 1%. The range is small, so after one use, it seems drop a lot. Just leave it on charge until it reaches to 90%. Normally it is functional when over 80%.

Comparing with other printer, our printer's motors and drivers are very quiet, so that the fan comes to the most noisy part. Please DO NOT turn the fan off. Or the electronic parts on the motion board may burn out due to overheat.

Any other problem please advise.

Hi Vicky

Thanks for your fast response. I understand your concern about overheating the electronics.

I just had to print two new spool holders. It seems that there is no such thing as a standard filament spool and the R3D holders are too short to be universal. They may be too fat as well, but I haven't come across that problem yet.

Check whether the following designs may also help. All designed by Raisers.

Thanks Vicky

I went with El_Cuajinas' design. It wasn't quite long enough so I stretched it a little bit using 123D Design. Then printed it on fast setting using Rigid Ink's ASA filament. It printed beautifully :D

I have the same question, and is it possible to get a better fan, below? Mine is quite loud too.
Or maybe get it changed for a more quiet one?

Please open the electronic box to check whether the fan is hitting something.

Would you like to measure the noise by decibels?
Normally we measure the noise at one-meter far from the front door.

Ok, I get a look at this. The small blower in the right electrical box is ok.
For the Fan, I don't have the tool to calculate the decibels...
The biggest sound is from the box under the printer, as shown in the picture.
The power supply. I think it could be better. I always print with the top cover on, unless it's
too noisy, specially during night printing...
Wonder if others Raisers have the same annoying sound, or it's normal.

There is also a fan inside the power supply. Please advise the sound is like a normal fan working sound or something else sounds strange? Would you like to share a video about the sounds?

Do you have a smartphone? I measured my by downloading an app that measured decibels.
