Brandon, It is simple :)
It's like in 3dsmax - you select an object, double-press "Z" key and get new pivot(if I name it right) center, not the center of the bed.

Plz let me know! I'll try to explain somehow else ;)

Got you point. You want to choose one model as pivot center but not always the center of the build plate.

Notes taken, will back to software department.

One trick for placing supports is to add them from the underneath view - looking up at the model.

Walshlg, I don't know how to do it without the underneath view.
And for me it wasn't enough zoom at an object.
And the transparent surface could be more seeing-throw.
Oh.. were is my list?..

if you are in the view mode where you can rotate the model by holding down any mouse button and drag or push it in an upwards direction. Keep going to rotate it completely so that you are looking at it from underneath. It is very helpful for placing support

to zoom use the mouse wheel

1. I meant it's impossible to edit supports without underneath view.

2. Seriously ?! No, really, seriously !?
I wish I could zoom a little closer to model than now. Not enough zoom level.

Upd. I think the best way to view a model and rotate the viewport is make.. uhhmm.. mouse cursor as pivot center or center of the viewport... something like this. (not just a selected part)

walshlg, do you understand what i'm talking about or just trolling me ?
Do you think I don't know how to zoom, rotate view, move parts and such ?!
I'm talking about the view rotating center, that's simple!

this is not a big problem but just the usability of the program.

Ok now I see, thanks for the vid. I agree that to change pivot to center of the selected object is a great idea.
