Filament conservation

Postby AFTECH » Fri Sep 07, 2018 9:26 am

Hello
I don't know if this discussion already took place in this board.
Where i live the weather is often raining so the conservation of filament is not optimal.
I've just bought a food deshydrator for 30€ in a supermarket https://www.electrodepot.fr/deshydrateu ... om202.html
You put the filament inside and set the temperature (30 ->70°C) and then it drys the filament during 1 or 2 hours
Then i put it in a vaccuum bag with a food saver welding device (about 30€ too).
And then the filament is stored dry and without air.
It's a cheap solution but it works for me.

Preservation, not conservation.

To maintain something from degrading
VS
Not using something to excess thus depleting it.

Yes, the basics of maintaining filament and storing and protecting it.
