Red Cobra Hydro dipped 3d Printed Roktopus

Postby Timber Haint » Tue Mar 13, 2018 12:23 am

I wanted something to start working with and testing my hydro dipping so I printed out a Roktopus and dipped it.

If I would have dipped it at a slightly different angle it would have gotten the inside of his hand and I accidentally tapped the crown of his head on the bottom of the tank.

Came out okay I guess. Some good lessons learned.

Awsome. Is hydro dipping commercially available? Is it user friendly or very much still in development?

It is commercially available, but very simple to do on your own. All you need a container that’s large enough to hold water to dip it in, the film and activator. All easily available on the web. The part needs to be able to be submersed in water.

It’s well defined across the industry so only new and experimental to me.
