Contess Zorana

Postby Trhuster » Sun May 15, 2016 6:44 am

I printed this with a long forgotten spool off ABS filament that always came out from the nozzle as molten lava. I did try it today again because why not and with V2 hotend it printed almost like normal. :D

Used 0.2 layers and speed 60mm/s.

Wow, the colour on this print looks much cool compare with the original print on Pinshape. :)

With this V2 hot-end, you don't need to throw away your previous not-easy-to-print filament. Julia had lots of experiences to try those special filament on our V2 hot-end. V2 can be a saver to those special filament. :D

Simply amazing,

I really like the quality of the surface and that it doesn't have rough spots that have to be hidden.
Regarding pre-processing, do you print calibration cubes to adjust your print or what do you recommend?

Yes a do some calibration cubes if it is a new spool and new filament brand.

I asked if Pinshape could add Rasie3D N1 and N2 in their list so now we can all upload our nice prints there. :)

I printed out the top and am in the process of printing out the bottom piece in red Raise3d PLA.
Some help if you could. I got a little warping on the left arm that caused the PLA to warp upwards and the second extruder started hitting it and so that arm is not as nicely printed.
I am now printing the bottom piece and I am getting some warping of the raft and consequently, the second extruder is hitting the print. This is not a problem of the extruders not being level. Should I just remove the second nozzle when printing to prevent this? I upped the bed temperature to 50 degrees and put the acrylic cover on and there is significantly less warpage of the large raft. I got no warping when I printed the top piece. I am using the standard setting in ideamaker.

PLA need more cooling for parts like this than stock N2 have. What i would do is to open door and no top. This should not warp from buildplate if distance between nozzle and bed is correct. Try 60c on the bed next time.

Also if you print two parts at the same time each layer have some more time to cool.

Nono, the painted one is from Fantasygraph, he is the guy that made the original design.
