Printing with dual extruder

Postby sgeolog » Wed Apr 20, 2016 6:06 pm

Hello everyone,

We just got RAISE 3D N2 Plus few days ago and printed few files just to test it. When I print detail with one color it is fine, but when it is 2 colors detail covered by "cocoon". Is it possible to avoid this?

Thank you

its called a wipewall (if it is what i think ) its used to clear the nozzle and prime the next on a change (can be turned on/off under OOZE in advanced settings)

The WipeWall is enabled for clearing the nozzle when the other nozzle is printing as Werner (Zettlinger) said.
You can easy peel it off when you finish printing.

If you think it is not necessary, you can cancel it in Ooze tab in Advanced setting. But there will be some different color blobs on print surface.

Thank you guys.
It was good. For some prints it is easy to remove but for Pen Holder on my picture it is so hard because both interior and exterior are connected. But now I can turn it off if needed. When we get filament i will print it again without Wipewall and upload picture.

Thank you Again

looks like the red extruder is still printing, this is way more than just ooze, may be a slicing error.

Preview the sliced gcode file in ideaMaker to check whether it should be there or not.

There is a print without wipewall.

Maybe a little bit in some areas but overall it was good.

I know this is an old thread, but I thought I would add that I too have had good luck printing without the wipe wall. There is a tiny bit of color transfer, but it is barely noticeable.

It will depend on how long one color is used as to how much OOZ will get deposited on the change to the next color.
