Board Error:: Extruder switched off

Postby bjsummerfield » Fri Jul 29, 2016 12:47 am

I attempted to remove the right extruder by removing the stepper motor, heater rod, thermocoupler, and hot tend. If I don't leave both thermocouplers hooked up I get this error:

Board Error:: Extruder switched off. MAX TEMP Tri...
Please check Hardware and restart.

I switched it to single extruder on the LCD Screen. Is there something else I'm missing?

How do I do that as the download page doesn't seem to differentiate between the two.

both thermocouplers must be hooked up even if you are using one extruder

this doesn't make any sense. Does the Single extruder ship with 2 thermocouplers? A jumper in place gets the error code to go away but is there any danger to doing this?

We do install 2 thernocouplers for single extruder printer as well. We insert it into the trace chain. Please install the right one back and check whether the problem has gone.

Do you have both thermal couples installed?
Was it installed properly? The red wire goes into '+' and the white wire goes into '-‘.
Can you share a picture of the connections?
