Filament run-out sensor with bond tech extruder

Postby rodriguejr » Fri Feb 23, 2018 10:37 am

Hello,

I am running my raise3d N2 Plus (in single extruder form) with a bondtech extruder. Does anyone know if there is any impediment on using the new filament run out sensor?

Regards,
Jorge

It will work. This has already been asked before in the previous filament detector details question topic.
The filament sensor just installs in the bay where the filament spools are, just before entering the guide tube locations. It does not mount to the extruder so it does not care or matter what extruder upgrades you install. Yes, there will be a newer firmware to load but there is no reason for it to not be compatible again with any extruder upgrade you install.
