issue unscrewing the nozzle

Postby Jab136 » Sun Jan 21, 2018 1:52 pm

I have successfully removed the hotends from the printer, but I cannot get the nozzles to release from the hotend. I have the v2 hotends, could I please get some suggestions?

Did you heat it up? You might have a bit of plastic on the threads. Heat it up to 180C and remove the nozzle.

how do you suggest handling the hotend while it is 180 degrees?

Use the nose of waterpump pliers to hold the heating block at the front while unscrewing the nozzle with a fitting socket. The Nose might not bite much on the block, but it's enough to hold it place and not break anything alse than the withstanding powers of the thread. I saw a printed tool on thingiverse, i personally don't think it's the best idea to proceed, but hey whatever it takes to get the job done.

I hold the hot-end with an adjustable wrench.
