I just filled the order form, any recommendation on where to source the remaining E3D parts?

In the installation guide I put links to one possible source. Here is the link to the guide https://goo.gl/x4ZFWE
If you're in California matterhackers also carries E3D Parts.

I've got a duct made for a 35mm fan. printed it out and it fits perfectly. I need to work on a version the directs air flow to the print as well. it is partially done and just needs the portion to direct the air flow at the print.

also need to figure out how to get a controlled air blower for part cooling as well. I saw some options but not sure if they will fit.

what do you mean "controlled air blower"?

when you hook up a fan to the other plugs and you can turn it on and off.

Fan header 1 is the one i been using and responds to third party slicer layer fan commands.
Does anyone have more info on Fan header 0? I didnt see a Gcode in reprap for dual cooling fans so im wondering if R3D implimented a special one for this.

you can control it with the Pin location. raise can make the touchscreen control it if they wanted to but they have not.

Here is the fan I made so far on thingiverse. I will add other version to this as well.

Does the E3D fan/shroud fit the adapter's fins?

Negative.

My adapter is compact compared to E3D, ~26mm vs ~43mm, in order to keep the Z build area height unchanged.
You can use the stock R3D fan shroud, or just the 35mm fan with a bit of kapton or foil tape to keep from blowing on the heating block or print one of mine. links at the first post.

Are those fan headers 12v or 24v?

Were you able to successfully control the 0 Fan Header with "M42 P8 Sxxx (0-255)" gcode?

added duct for volcano print cooling.

I'll do the same thing for the normal hotend next. but the air output will be higher up.

I am assembling my adapters today. Do you recommend using thermal paste between the heatbreak and the cooling fin adapter as E3D recommends?

Yes, certainly wouldn't hurt.

I noticed that my adapters have flat parts on the flange that fits into the print carriage. The rounded ends of the adapter seem to line up to where the set screws in the carriage will contact the flange. It seems that it needs to rotate 45 degrees more so that the flat parts line up to the front and the side where the set screws will contact. Does this look right?

Not sure but i think you're asking about the hotend position relative to the adapter/toolhead?
just back the nozzle out and the heat break in or Vice versa to adjust that alignment.
