Belt tool

Postby ABH » Sat Jan 21, 2017 2:08 pm

I don't know if there's a preferred method for working with the belts on our printers?
I couldn't find any description and as I found it quite difficult to position the GT2 belts correctly in the sliding blocks, I made a small tool.
It can be used to keep the ends of the belt together, while you remove the two screws that holds the cover plate.
When mounting the belt, the idea is to first slide the belt ends into the tool. The tool then keeps the belt in place, while you tighten the screws for the cover plate.
