Question about cable channel access

Postby JohnSays » Wed Nov 07, 2018 3:33 am

I have two N2s. The most recent uses a cable channel (from base to bottom of the top) that has a black plastic cover that pops off to give access to the cables. My oldest has a rectangular channel that can only have wires removed if the entire channel is removed and all the wires are disconnected. (I was flabbergasted when I saw this design flaw.) Anyway, has anyone here come up with a solution to get quick access on these older machines?

I'm considering simply band sawing the back off and putting it back with black velcro straps. Or, I could cut a slot that leaves a small lip on each side of the channel (much harder) and then print a cover that snaps in place. Any ideas/working solutions?
