Filliment Compatability [SOLVED]

Postby Nova » Fri Oct 12, 2018 10:41 pm

Recently we've been having problems printing with different filliments, (Premium 1.75mm PLA White/Red; Purchased from Raise3D.) and we've noticed that when we try to print White on Red and visa versa, it always results in the print messing up somehow. i.e The Model material gliding 2 inches to the left during a print.

Is there some list of materials that are compatible with each other or are none of them compatible?

Do you mean you are trying to print one nozzle with white the other with red? And messed up during dual printing?
Any picture we can see how the failure looks like?

Yes, I was using the Pro2 with duel extruders at the same temperature. I am currently unable to provide examples, however I will be able to on Monday.

Does the failure always happen at right nozzle or both nozzles have print failures?

The problem only happens when we use 2 different color materials. It's not the extruder, as we tested it with White on White and Red on Red using both extruders and it produced good results.

Would you like to double confirm the height of left and right nozzle tip?
You can find out the calibration steps inside the installation instruction in this page:

I have double checked and confirmed that both extruders are 0.2mm off of the printing platform as specified by the User's Manual.

I believe that the filliments are causing the problem.

New problem.

So turns out it wasn't a filliment problem but a Calibration problem. As when we use Duel Extruders, the model comes out ~12mm to the left of the support.

Now lets fix this.

Whether you are using Pro2 series printer or N series printer?
Would you like to go to Printer Settings in ideaMaker and Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Hardware -> Extruder to check X Y offset settings from both sides?
