Distance between N2 and wall

Postby budi67 » Sat Oct 15, 2016 6:02 pm

Hello

Sorry for my bad english !!
I have a question about the rear fan, what the minimal distance between the N2 and the wall ?
I'm asking because the fan is really noisy !
Unless we can change this fan ?

Thanks
Best regards !

Dear Budi67,

Would you like to advise which wall do you mean?
Which fan is the rear fan you mentioned?
If you can share some picture for explanation, that will be more clear.

Did it come from the factory with those rear vent holes? or did you cut them yourself?

Holes are of origins

In general leave a minimum fan clearance atleast = fan blade diameter. New noise is often a loose wire hitting the blades or even a broken blade - take it apart and take a look

Sorry, we didn't have such accurate value for this distance. But at last you need to leave a distance at which the right side door can be fully open and the power cable behind won't be touched by the wall.

Please check the noise in decibels. Normally we measure the noise at one-meter far from the front door.

Charles didn't see a R3D response... I believe the rear slots was a R3D engineering change in the later half of August 2016. It was in response to the overheating in the controller box, due to the lack of cool air in.

Michael Wall & Wibbcat (Simon) made some great solutions as well... General -> Shared STL Designs
