Extruder heater wiring

Postby GQQSER » Fri Jul 27, 2018 6:34 pm

Can anyone tell me if this is the proper configuration of the extruder wiring for the V2hot end on the N2 Plus? I attached a diagram.

Yes, correct, Left is primary, it's the upper one as show, Right is secondary.
Also double check the matching thermocouple is in the correct heater block.
Just the same, the upper left of that PCB screw terminals is thermocouple for left, and the lower one is for right.

Use caution when you test this. Set a temp of 50C only for the first test of the left hotend. Observe the temp rise as displayed. If the wrong side heats, then turn off the printer and double check the wiring again.

Also, the thermocouple wires are polarity sensitive (why I marked the red wire in the one diagram).
The heaters are not polarity sensitive.

Connecting a thermocouple incorrect polarity, the reported temp lowers when it is heated instead of rising.
