Random Stop

Ran a part. Came out fine. Ran it again, same code, same everything, and the printer just stopped. Halfway through the print. Didn't home the nozzle or anything, just stopped on top of the print. No warnings on the screen. Nothing. Everything was still hot.

Thoughts to the cause?

If I was a betting person:
#1 you may not have the thermal protector installed
#2 you may not even be aware of what the ribbon cable fault does or looks like
#3 1 and 2 combine to cause failures, and depending on what exact firmware you are running this may or may not ever report a screen error, may not save any information to a log file, and so you sit and wonder why does this just stop with no warning?

Again:
#1 know if you have a thermal protector board installed, If not demand the free one ASAP
#2 turn on serial logging
#3 Ensure you are running at least Marlin 1.1.16 firmware and for Raisepack, recommend 0.9.7, please note that 0.9.9 and 0.9.10 may have some new features and functions that cause problems and we hope are fixed in 0.9.11
#4 1 and 2 will not magically fix the root cause here, but they will allow capture of information to correctly diagnose.

Again, I cannot stress this enough.
As an owner of the printer, Raise3D is not going to warn you, tell you, show up at your door to install a thermal protector.
Only the very most recently shipped N series from the factory would even have this critical safety feature.
This does not apply to Pro2 series, we asked, it's specific to the current N series (N1, N2, N2 Plus).

Without that board, there can be failures that are near impossible to detect without it. Evidence shows that multiple failure cases actually all pointed to a temperature reporting issue caused by a cable or connector failure, but without a safety board to properly condition the signal- random and diffucult to troubleshoot print stoppages happen and people sit and wonder in frustration.

When you find print stops in middle, have you checked whether the touchscreen can response to your touch or not?
Whether the screen can read USB driver?

Installed the protector, and haven't had any issues since. Will just have to wait and see long term if it corrected the problem. Thanks!
