Ideamaker repair issue, loft objects

Postby novanota » Tue Apr 17, 2018 7:08 am

I am having an issue with Ideamaker on a particular file.
This is a 3 piece intake manifold for a vehicle.

Every time I upload the file and hit auto repair it makes the lofts connecting the flanges a solid object.
If I try and print without repairing it then it just deletes the lofts but still has the support.

At first I thought it was because the lofts were not mapped to to the face of the flange but I corrected that and still having the same issue.
I then uploaded the lofts independently with the exact same results
Also tried loading the file as a .obj with no luck
The repair program is flagging these as holes and trying to fill them.

I am on a tight deadline for this project so any help is greatly appreciated

Is it possible for you to modify the origin model?
The problem sections are designed without any thickness.
The following link may help you to get better understanding.

Thanks Vicky. After a few hours of research and playing with the original model, I figured it out.
Had to go back to the original design, make them a solid, manually select the faces and apply a thickness in pipe format while selecting the two openings as the pipe faces.
It's a 90 hour print so fingers are crossed that all goes well.
