Invalid Model
Invalid Model
I just transfer my model into stl file and open it in ideamaker, and the system just show "1 Model(s) Invalid". However the model is still able to be sliced but really annoying. Anyone know about this situation?
Re: Invalid Model
Just repair the STL.
Your STL file has errors. The software is telling you this and you are ignoring it and slicing anyway.

Re: Invalid Model
It means you may not have a proper water tight 3d model.
You can still print a bad file if you want to.
Sometimes repairing the model can close up bad edges/faces.
But many times it cannot correctly repair your model and it will print with defects.
Are you importing your own 3d models? If so from what program?
Or are you getting models off the internet?
