=================================================================================

Hi all,

After long-time waiting, we have finished the new ideaMaker.

Note: Since we have added a lot new functions in this version, it may include some unknown bugs. We release beta version on forum first and hope you can help us test together. If you have an important task to do with, we still recommend you to use the current official version 2.6.0. Quick link: ideaMaker 2.6.0 https://www.raise3d.com/pages/download

NEW FEATURES

Different slice templates for different models
If you have several models want to print at one time, you can set them as separate Setting Group in this version.

Added different settings for various layers of the model
We’ve added Per-Layer Settings in this version which means you can change slicing settings by height.

(1.99 MiB) Downloaded 308 times

Added different settings for each extruder
In this version, we have added a new tab only for different extruder control under Advanced -> Extruder. Which means you can set different Extrusion Width and retraction settings for each hotend.

Added the temperature control over the different layers of the model
In this version, the other newly added tab is temperature control under Advanced -> Temperature. Under this tab, there is also a new section called Temperature Control List. With Use Temperature Control List enabled, you can change Heated Bed, Left Extruder and Right Extruder’s temperature values by layer.

Wipe tower infill ratio
We have added Wipe Tower Infill Ratio under Advanced -> Ooze -> Wipe Tower Infill Ratio in this version. Which means you can custom set how much infill you’d want to set for your wipe tower now.

Set the extruder for the dense support
Now you can choose which extruder to print the dense support layers under Advanced -> Support -> Dense Support Extruder.

Infill Extrusion width percentage

In this version, you can edit Infill Extrusion Width under Advanced -> Infill -> Infill Extrusion Width Percentage.

Print parts in sequential order
If you want to print several models at one time, but also want to give every model enough cooling time for each layer, please check Print Parts in Sequential Order under Advanced -> Layer. So that the moving path of each layer will always follow the same sequence.
Or to save moving time, the moving path will be A to B to C when using 3 models as an example then C to B to A for next layer, which means the last printed out layer of model C may have no enough cooling time to be solid before starting printing its next layer. What’s more, after next layer printing, the same problem will happen on model A.

Bridging speed and extrusion width percentage
You can adjust Bridging Speed and Extruder Width Percentage of bridge structure under Advanced -> Other.

Added XY Size Compensation
XY Size Compensation is to compensate the error between the printed-out size and the real size of the shape or holes inside the models under Advanced -> Other.

Added Extruder Switch GCode, Layer Change GCode and Retraction GCode
New tabs to add customer G-code before extruder-switch and extruder-retraction, and during each layer-change under GCode tab.

Added placeholders in G-code script section under GCode tab

Rename G-code file before uploading to the printer
If you want to change the name of your file when uploading it to the touchscreen, you can do it now with the new version.

Find the G-code file after exporting.
You can click “Show in Folder" to find your G-code file in the target directory after exporting G-code file.

Added shortcuts to navigate G-code layers and steps in preview window

Improved G-code preview for the structure mode, and added previewing print speed in the preview window
You can select Speed or Structure from the drop list at the right bottom corner.
21.png
20.png

Able to duplicate and remove printer templates
In this version, the customer printer templates can be duplicated and removed as slicing templates.

Able to remove filaments and the associated slice templates
In this version, the customer’s filament template can also be removed. Choose the filament template you want to remove from the Filament Type drop list and select Remove button to remove it.

Change the calculation of the z-position for the model from the model’s center to the bottom line of the model.

Added obsolete template management

(1.82 MiB) Downloaded 87 times

Added more information inside the exported slicing template
The slicing template now not only includes Printer Type and Filament Type information but also the newly added Group and Layer Settings.

1. Is it possible in the new version to customize printing with two extruders with different nozzle diameters? I found only settings for different widths of the layer for different nozzles.
2. Has the generation of G-code changed in comparison with version 2.6

Just change the extrusion width for left and right extruder.
For the second G-code problem, not fully get your meaning. Would you like to explain more for us?

Ok. Did I understand correctly that the width of the extrusion will correspond to the diameter of the nozzle and the setting in the settings of a single diameter parameter does not affect anything?

Concerning the G-code. If you compare the print with the same settings from Simplify 3D, then the print quality of the models is higher than that of Ideataker 2.6.
Perhaps I'm wrong, seeing the reason in a different algorithm for generating G-code.
Thank you.

When I run my printers, I have my own "Printer Settings". I would like to be able to only have those ones present and have the option to delete all the other types of machines that I don't have.
Could you make it possible to remove every type of machine there instead of the ones that the end user has created.

In ideaMaker, the priority of extrusion width will higher than nozzle diameter. Which means, even without editing the nozzle diameter after changing nozzle, just editing the extrusion width can work with your new nozzle.

For G-code generation, we do improve some. We improved movement path and processing ability for some extremes, but not such large difference compared with version 2.6.

Undestood.
If a 0.2 mm nozzle is used, the layer width is 0.2-0.22 mm and the part is printed with a raft, then the G-code generates a width of the first layer of 0.4 mm. It's a lot!

For XY size compensation, i normally print 0.18 mm over. To get correct size parts, do I type in 0.18 or -0.18?
