ideamaker print times

Postby firesped » Fri Apr 14, 2017 4:17 am

ideamaker seems to be generating the exact print time with my printer. is anyone else having luck with this?

We have optimized the estimated time a little.
But might still can't promise 100% accuracy, since every print's preheating time, homing time will be a little different.

i would like to see an estimated print finish time (date and time) along with duration for print jobs.
Also if you can add an estimated time to next pause at layer (with date and time) that would be super useful.

Date and time can be checked after the print starts with the latest version 0.9.0, you can press the values after time est. to check.

For the pause, notes taken.

Speaking about 'pause at layer' Would it be possible to insert pause after extruding x grams of filament. for example if i have 300g left of spool and the job needs 500g to finish. it will pause with say 20g remaining on the spool +/- 10g and be ready for user action to change material.

also would be good for prints needing >1kg of material to complete (not unusual for my N2+)

Using software to estimate this may a little hard.
We are currently developing filament monitor. That may help long-time printing a lot.
