Intersecting meshes not printing

Postby rgriesbeck » Mon Mar 13, 2017 2:53 am

I've got a model that has 2 intersecting parts. On my other printers, the model prints fine, but on my N2, the printer is leaving gaps and holes around the intersection.

Any thoughts?

you need to build a proper model! Did you try the repair function in ideamaker? If that doesn't work then you need to do a boolean add of the 2 meshes in something like Blender

I would suggest you run it through one of the online repair services to make sure it's ready for printing. If you want something manual try meshlab or automatic repair you can try https://makeprintable.com/
