Discussions about ideaMaker and other printing software.
So it could be some minor differences betweens platforms...
I agree, I have used Simplify3d for a long time, and I found them very lacking now. They haven't kept up with the pace of everyone else, and it's an expensive paid for software. I find this unacceptable. I wish I had never spent the money on it. Cura is WAY better now and is Free. Ideamaker is simpler than Cura, but I still think the functionality is very good for the simplicity it provides. As I said, there are still some things I wish it could do, but overall I think it's a great piece of software that Raise3d is continuously working on and making better. Which can't be said for Simplify3D!! Raise3D listens to its customers, Simplify does not.
I have opposite opinion about it. For example compare software interface. How easy you can control everything. When I’m using IM I feel chaos. All function mixed together. Many user write about it here on this forum.
Use Cura. It's much more powerful than iM, easy to use, and free for use.
Cura doesn't work with Pro Plus 2.
Ya, I've been trying to get Cura to work with my Pro2 to compare some of it's features but I can't find any settings or code changes that will make it start and work correctly on a print. Hopefully someone smarter than me can figure this out and help us all with this.
I was ask Rise about it. They said it can’t work with Pro.
That's a good reason not to buy a Pro, IMHO.
I was checking the new option of imported timelapse files. The format is not so popular MJPG.... first issue, second quality - terrible. You can't use it even for the internet.
