Printer Nozzle diameter selection

Postby pjyarnall » Sat Jul 28, 2018 12:54 pm

Description: Presently, selecting the nozzle size can only be done in Printer settings from the drop down menu in IM. Only one nozzle size can be selected.
Version: 3.1.7.1850
OS: Mac OSX 10.11.6

Reason: Nozzle size selection should be a setting in the filament setup and not buried in a single IM menu! Further more, there should be the ability to select independent nozzle sizes for the right and left extruder!

Yes if you change nozzle diameter you need to change both... with the same value.

You can set different values for extrusion width for different nozzles under Extruder tab.

True, but if the Printer is thinking both nozzles are .6mm but one is actually .4mm and I choose .4mm for the extrusion width the line created by that .4mm nozzle will be correct even though the printer thinks it is .6mm?

Yes, the one with extrusion width set to be 0.4mm will extrude correct lines which 0.4mm nozzle can afford.
