Issue with a sphere

Postby Stefan » Wed Jan 03, 2018 3:52 pm

Hello!

I`ve got the The Raise 3D N2 Plus recently and i have to say it is just amazing!

I`ve done already some Projects and i have solved most of the issues that have arisen.

Well here is the issue i can not solve.
It happens from to time and i actually don`t know why.

Here are some Picture from my last printing.
This should be some harder printing for me.

In whole it Looks like this.

Outside the sphere and inside the heart-s-Thing.

And here is the Problem which happens kinda a lot.

The sites of the sphere are not the Problem.
I`ll just turn it a few degrees.
But i don`t know what i can do with the mid.
I`ve placed Support to the heart, but it start printing everything wool-like.

Can you help me?
Probably someone had the same issues.

Thanks Stefan

Hi Stefan,

It looks like the part may need supports to be completed. will you be attempting this with dual extrusion or is it single extrusion with two parts? Roughly how large is the part you are printing?

it looks like the center was knocked over, most likely by a nozzle strike. I agree with Michael on the need of support, you can even make your own placements to keep clean up easier. its the aluminum part of the hot end insulated? this helps in reducing radiant heat from the hot end from keeping PLA to warm for too long. PLA wants to cool quickly to avoid curling. Also please post print temps and heat bead temps

Hey,

thanks for the answers!
I`ve colered the parts different. This is jsut one object. It was only for the imagnation.
The sphere is 60mm big.

I know supports a needed. I`ve tried it outside without and it got wrong.
But i also placed some inside. And this is still a Problem for me.

It started Curling and then then the nozzle broke the whole Thing and i don`t know why it curled.

I don`t know if it`s insulated. I`ve the whole casing around the Printer and the nozzle is just .... normal?
print temp is 215°C and the heat bead is 40°C.
