Any experience with a good twistable build surface?
My build surface experience is:
Glue stick on glass – Time consuming. Use it only for nylon as recommended by Taulman.
Aquanet on glass – What I use
PEI sheet glues to glass – liked but easy to scratch, needs careful removal
Buildtak glued to glass (included with Raise3D printer) – Like PEI but crappier due to more difficult release and easier to ruin build surface. Worst of the bunch.
Once I stated using Aquanet on glass I never looked back. But recently I’ve had the glass break due to crazy good adhesion with ABS warping and I’m wondering… Are there any worthwhile twistable build surfaces out there? I’m extremely skeptical about them, but If they work well, especially with ABS, than I would take a look. I just don’t want to be a guinea pig. I remember printing ABS on PEI was very good but I don’t know if there are any twistable sheets out there that work well and remain truly flat after twisting.
Anyone care to share experiences?
