Question for BLT

Postby wo4sunhao » Tue Aug 07, 2018 6:59 pm

I wonder if BLT useful for N2 plus printer because the printer does not have a electrical powered auto level bed.
And I use dial indicator and feeler gage to level my print bed right now.

What I'm asking is what do you use it for? The printer does not have a auto-level bed so what do you use this sensor for?

So had you read the links, you would know that the point of updating the firmware is to enable the BLTouch as a probe AND enable "AUTO_BED_LEVELING_BILINEAR" http://marlinfw.org/docs/features/auto_ ... eling.html

I still do not call this auto bed leveling because it's not. It's compensating for a non level bed by constantly adjusting your Z axis during XY motion. A non flat bed is still not a flat bed and a unlevel bed is still not 90 degrees to Z axis travel.

Thanks for the asnswer this is the point i didn't understand. So, basicly the BLT just made printer head adjust nozzle distance everytime to make sure the nozzle distance is constant.
